PAT POTTER

Managing Director

Mr. Potter brings over 30 years of entrepreneurship and vision to Potter & Co. He is both the Managing Director and Founder. Together with Mr. Potter’s business savvy, he possesses a highly competent investigative and crisis management expertise, imparted while working under the supervision of Supervisory Special Agent Robert Miller for nearly eight years. Trained as a Special Agent, Mr. Potter not only coordinates all field office operations but also supervises the security control of data for Potter & Co's network of offices and personnel, insuring that client information is never available to hackers. Mr. Potter also brings a creative and innovative element to the long-term vision of Potter & Co. Chiefly responsible for client retention, case supervision and international operations, Mr. Potter utilizes both his talents for business development and investigative policy to expanding Potter & Co's reach and vision.

 

Though, his skill set isn't limited to business and investigative support services, he has authored two books: "Hard Targets" an academic book used at FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center) which is dedicated to art of human and technical surveillance. The other book is about addiction and the recovery from addiction called "The Story of Us."  Mr. Potter holds credentials in substance abuse counseling and addiction prevention.

 

Mr. Potter majored in both business administration and criminology graduating the University of New Mexico and later returned to school in 2007 to earn himself a MBA and Juris Doctorate from Xavier University. Mr. Potter also is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Forensic Interviewer and an active member of the American Society of Criminology and an associate member of the American Bar Association. In 2009 Mr. Potter was able to use his technical surveillance expertise to obtain a contract award with the Department of Defense providing high level technical training to several levels of infrastructure within the Department of Defense and Defense Intelligence Agency. Mr. Potter strives for continued education and growth as a professional and is TRACE Certified in the Anti-Bribery and Foreign Corruption and Practices Act as well as Certified in IP Crime, through the International IP Crime Investigators College exclusively operated by INTERPOL. Mr Potter continues to expand knowledge by becoming a Certified Information Security Manager: The Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is a top credential for IT professionals responsible for managing, developing and overseeing information security systems in enterprise-level applications, or for developing best organizational security practices. The CISM credential was introduced to security professionals in 2003 by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

MARK MARTIN

Mark Martin comes to Potter & Co. as the Former Chief of the Counter-terrorism Division, of the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.) More than 20 years of law enforcement experience in wide a range of investigative, technical and leadership roles. Mr. Martin is recognized for his collaborative efforts, organizational turnaround, innovative programs and operational transparency. Well-known for his ability to harmoniously coalesce, coordinate and focus stakeholders to work together seamlessly when planning or responding to emergency situations. Honest, fair, and consistent management style with hands-on approach. He works closely with clients and models successful behavior, professionalism, and work ethic. He sets clear expectations and provide opportunity for success and cooperation. Mr. Martin possess the ability to eliminate conflict, motivate people, manage resources, mitigate risks, and establish standardized processes resulting in dramatic attitudinal changes and performance outcomes. Co-authored the initial and later updated the National Response Plan—operational framework for all Federal law enforcement agencies under DOJ and DHS to respond to disasters and other emergencies. Critical partner, liaison, and leader in Federal, State and local law enforcement organizations—extensive network of powerful decision makers. Certified, Senior Executive Service. And presently maintains a TS/SCI Clearance.
