When They Can’t Speak, We Step In

Some victims don’t have advocates. They don’t have a platform. They don’t make headlines. They disappear into silence—taken, exploited, erased.

At Potter & Co., we refuse to let that be the end of the story.

We provide specialized investigative, crisis, and protection services for special victims—particularly in cases of abduction, trafficking, and exploitation involving children, elderly individuals, and other vulnerable populations.

This work is not about PR. It is not about visibility. It is about justice. It is about restoration. It is about finding those who’ve been taken, helping those who’ve been hurt, and holding accountable those who caused it.

We operate with precision, legal coordination, and absolute discretion. Our clients include families, law firms, advocacy organizations, educational institutions, healthcare systems, and guardians who are out of options—and running out of time.

Many of the cases we take involve unimaginable harm.

Children trafficked under false pretense. Elderly relatives coerced, isolated, and financially abused. Teens who vanish while traveling. Adults with cognitive disabilities caught in systems that protect their abusers. What links these cases is the combination of silence, shame, and systemic delay.

Our job is to break that cycle.

We begin with rapid threat assessment and fact verification. Who last saw them? What communication existed? What law enforcement has already been involved, if any? What digital trace, travel data, or surveillance may exist? We don’t wait for bureaucracies to catch up—we move.

Our investigations go where others can’t. We track across borders. Across digital platforms. Through private networks. Through online marketplaces where people are traded like property. We partner with law enforcement, when appropriate, and we work independently when the process has stalled or failed.

We’ve located missing minors. We’ve rescued individuals from exploitative living situations. We’ve helped families who knew something was wrong but couldn’t make anyone listen. We’ve helped attorneys build civil and criminal cases against traffickers, caregivers, handlers, and complicit third parties.

And we do it without retraumatizing the victim.

Potter & Co. handles each case with trauma-informed methodology. That means we protect the dignity of the individual at the center of the harm. We prepare our clients—family members, legal teams, institutions—for the emotional weight of what’s coming. And we never rush disclosure. We move at the pace required for safety, healing, and justice.

In many of our special victim cases, the abuser is someone trusted. A family member. A coach. A caregiver. A professional with credentials and community respect. That makes exposure dangerous. That makes silence easier—for everyone but the victim.

We create the structure that makes truth possible.

We also work with institutions under pressure.

Schools, religious organizations, entertainment agencies, youth programs, eldercare facilities, and healthcare systems—when these organizations face credible allegations or internal discoveries of abuse, trafficking, or negligence, the fallout can be overwhelming.

We help them navigate that crisis while keeping the victim at the center.

We investigate internally and externally. We liaise with counsel. We handle messaging to prevent re-traumatization. We manage the legal, media, donor, and internal personnel implications. We design survivor-first response strategies that are credible, careful, and fully coordinated.

Because the goal isn’t containment. The goal is accountability.

We also support long-term recovery. Survivors of trafficking and abuse need more than legal success. They need a life rebuilt. In collaboration with trusted partners, we connect victims and families to aftercare services, trauma therapists, protective relocation support, identity restoration, digital cleansing, and safe reintegration.

For elderly victims, we provide legal coordination, medical advocacy, secure transitions out of dangerous environments, and background investigations on those who may continue to pose a risk. We also work with financial institutions and estate counsel to freeze damage, recover stolen assets, and protect against future exploitation.

These cases are often under-reported, under-investigated, and politically inconvenient. We don’t care about that. We care about the person. About the child who hasn’t come home. About the woman who was promised a better life and ended up trafficked. About the grandfather whose care team slowly turned into captors. We handle these cases because others don’t. Because they are complicated. Because they are messy. Because they require sensitivity, stamina, and deep professional training.

We are not just investigators. We are protectors. We are advocates. We are unafraid.

Potter & Co. does not seek credit for this work. We rarely speak about it. We never exploit it. But we are here—for every parent who won’t stop looking. For every lawyer who needs real evidence. For every institution that wants to make this right, not just make it go away.

If someone in your care has been taken, abused, coerced, or disappeared—don’t wait. Don’t hope it gets better. Don’t let silence bury them further.

Call us. We’ll help bring them home.
